HYLA Recognized by TYLA as First Place Large City Local Affiliate

HYLA Award Nominations due March 16th at 5 PM for Outstanding Young Lawyer, Outstanding Mentor, and Liberty Bell Award

HYLA is seeking nominations for: (1) The Outstanding Young Lawyer Award; (2) The Outstanding Mentor Award; and (3) The Liberty Bell Award. The nominations are due to HYLA on Thursday, March 16th at 5 PM. We invite you to help honor the members of your community. Then the nominating committee for each award will make a recommendation that will be voted on by the HYLA Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting on March 22nd. The HYLA Board of Directors will vote and submit the three Houston award winners to Texas Young Lawyers Association ("TYLA") on April 3d for consideration at the state-wide level. In addition, the HYLA award winners will be recognized at the Law Day Luncheon on April 27th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.   • Outstanding Young Lawyer - recognizes one young lawyer who has demonstrated professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community. Please submit your Outstanding Young Lawyer nominations to Immediate Past President, Brittany Ringel Walton, at brittringel@gmail.com and Lucy Cain at lucy_cain@hyla.org.
  • Liberty Bell Award - recognizes one outstanding non-lawyer in Texas who has made the most selfless contribution to his or her community to strengthen the effectiveness of the American system of Justice by instilling better understanding and appreciation of the law. Please submit your Liberty Bell Award nominations to President-Elect, Lauren Brogdon at lauren.brogdon@nortonrosefulbright.com and Lucy Cain at lucy_cain@hyla.org.
  • Outstanding Mentor Award - recognizes one attorney who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to mentoring young lawyers in his or her legal community. Please submit your Outstanding Mentor Award nominations to Director by Appointment, Michael Clinton at mclinton@blizzardlaw.com to Lucy Cain at lucy_cain@hyla.org.
