Immediate Past Chair
Eric Cassidy is a trial lawyer who moved to Houston after graduating from the University of Texas Law School in 2001. He is a partner at Berg & Androphy, a well-known boutique litigation firm based in Houston and New York, specializing in white collar criminal defense, complex federal court litigation, and local and international matters. Before joining Berg & Androphy, Eric was a partner at an Am Law 20 firm, Squire Patton Boggs, where he focused on international arbitrations, investigations, and trials. He currently chairs the Houston Bar Association’s International Law Section, is a member of the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations, and a Charter Member of the State Bar of Texas Committee on Human Rights. Eric also stays involved in the local community, having served as a Trustee on the HYLF Board for five years—becoming Chair in 2015—in part because of friends and colleagues he met by attending the HYLA Leadership Academy and Leadership Houston. Eric is an avid runner and athlete (when time permits), having qualified for and run the Boston Marathon.
