WELCOME TO HYLA
Welcome to the HYLA homepage! What is HYLA? HYLA (otherwise known as the Houston Young Lawyers Association) is a specialty bar association. Our regular membership consists of attorneys who are 36 years of age and under as well as attorneys who are over 36 and are practicing law for five years or less. Our associate membership consists of law students, who are awaiting their bar results. Our membership spans all types of law practices: Large, medium, and small firms, in-house counsel, the non-profit sector, solo practitioners, and law students to name a few. HYLA is a fun, diverse organization that gives its membership an opportunity to experience more than just practicing law. It allows them to serve the community, socialize, network, and enjoy recreational activities. People join HYLA for a variety of reasons: to network, to make friends, to be leaders. We have something to offer everyone, if you want to be involved a little or a lot. Whatever your reason is for joining, we welcome you and hope you enjoy participating in our varied activities. It is a great way to show the legal field how dedicated you are to your chosen profession and that you would make a valuable employee.
