For the past seventeen years, HYLA volunteers have coordinated a Hunger Relief Campaign that operates on a simple appeal:

Houston lawyers are asked to donate the dollar value of one billable hour. Each donor then designates the hunger relief organization of his or her choice, and HYLA volunteers ensure that the donation reaches the designated charity. Our sponsors, committee members, and corporate donors underwrite all administrative expensives, so all of the $650,000 HYLA has raised has reached the designated local, national and international hunger relief organizations.
