Our keynote speaker is Texas Supreme Court Justice Jeff Brown. HYLA will present awards for outstanding service. In addition, the HBA's Law Day Poster, Photography and Essay contest winners will also be honored. Click here to register. Please contact the Law Day Committee Chairs, Sara Scott and Katy Gardner if you have any questions.

THE HISTORY OF LAW DAY AND HYLA’S LAW DAY LUNCHEON
Law Day is a day upon which we celebrate the rule of law by underscoring how law and the legal process have contributed to the freedoms we Americans share. This day, created by President Eisenhower, is recognized nationally usually on May 1st, its official date, or during the first week of May.

In the spirit of Law Day, HYLA hosts an annual luncheon for the legal community.  In addition to an address by a keynote speaker, the recipients of the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston Award, the Liberty Bell Award, and other awards are announced at this event.
