Law Day
THE HISTORY OF LAW DAY AND HYLA’S LAW DAY LUNCHEON
Law Day is a day upon which we celebrate the rule of law by underscoring how law and the legal process have contributed to the freedoms we Americans share. This day, created by President Eisenhower, is recognized nationally usually on May 1st, its official date, or during the first week of May.
In the spirit of Law Day, HYLA hosts an annual luncheon for the legal community. In addition to an address by a keynote speaker, the recipients of the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston Award, the Liberty Bell Award, and other awards are announced at this event.
LAW DAY LUNCHEON 2010
Please join HYLA and HYLF as they celebrate Law Day with a luncheon. The luncheon will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at The Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Houston, 1300 Lamar Street. The reception/check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. This year's keynote speaker is Chad Baruch. Recipients of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, Liberty Bell Award and Outstanding Mentor Award will be announced at the luncheon. Tables of 10 (which includes 1 judge and 9 guests) may be purchased for $500 until April 2, 2010. After April 2nd, tables may be purchased for $600.
