Young Lawyers in the Community
WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR HYLA'S COMMUNITY PROJECT!
On Saturday April 19, HYLA will be teaming with Rebuilding Together Houston to assist senior citizens with homes in need of repair and maintenance. This is a great project that really improves the lives of those most in need in our community. HYLA need volunteers to come out and help on April 19, both performing basic "handy man" tasks and simply interacting with the elderly citizens; any tasks that we're unable to complete that Saturday will be completed the following Saturday, April 26. Friends and family are welcome to participate, as well. More information about the project can be found at http://www.rebuildingtogetherhouston.org/
What will you be doing: A team of volunteers will be assigned to the home of an elderly or handicapped person who has signed up to receive help from Rebuilding Together Houston. Each group will be assigned certain "handy man" tasks to perform at their respective locations. The tasks will include things like mowing the grass, raking leaves, fixing an old fence, pulling weeds, and/or painting. You can participate as a team leader or team member. Crew leaders will need to attend an orientation on April 5.
How can you get involved: Please send an email to Jim Lloyd at jlloyd@winstead.com or call him at 713.650.2719 to sign up. The deadline for volunteer sign-up is March 20.
