Alex is a third-year law student at South Texas College of Law Houston and a Law Clerk at Texas’ oldest personal injury law firm, Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz. Prior to law school, he served in the US Air Force, working in orthopedics out of AFSOC headquarters and Eglin AFB, Florida. After serving mostly overseas, he returned with his family to Texas to complete his education, graduating from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where he was a Presidential Scholar. Alex has served on numerous boards since moving to Houston to study law, including the lawyer’s chapter for the American Constitution Society and as Alumni Ambassador for the Hispanic Law Student Association. Recommended by Member of Congress Shiela Jackson Lee for the South Texas LBJ Civil Rights Award as a 1L for his role in assisting families during the initial days of the travel ban, Alex is also highly active in South Texas’ philanthropic efforts. When he is not busy studying, working, or mentoring, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his family. Other interests include all things automotive including racing his Mini Cooper and enjoying a good cigar. A first-generation immigrant from Panama City, Panama and a champion of veteran causes, Alex plans on practicing personal injury law here in the Bayou City.
